Technical
Support Specialist

Summary of Responsibilities
Provide a variety of technical support services for
our Knoxville area clients who are using Microsoft based
networks. In essence being their IT staff when needed.
The relationships we have with our clients is much
deeper than traditional client/vendor relationships. We
are not on the outside looking in, but are a part of
their team. Maintaining that relationship requires a
balance of professionalism, technical skills and
excellent communication skills.
Primary Functions:
Manage the account with the highest level of
integrity, friendliness and open communication that our
clients fully expect from anyone associated with Pratt
Computing Technologies!
The services you will provide include, but are not
limited to:
Server 2003/2008, SBS 2003/2008 configuration, maintenance and
administration.
Exchange Server 2003/2007 configuration, maintenance and
administration.
LAN / WAN / VOIP/ Remote Connectivity.
Desktop Support, Vista, XP Pro, Outlook
Other Possible Functions:
IIS Administration.
Web site development
SQL, SharePoint Services (WSS 3 and MOSS)
One Note, InfoPath, Groove,
Access Development.
Assistance with CRM development, installation and
training.
Qualifications for the Position:
2 or more years experience supporting end-users on
Microsoft Products.
Current Microsoft Certifications (2003
level or above)
Great problem solving skills.
Ability to work alone, as part of a team or even with an
end-user standing over your shoulder.
Ability to handle pressure and not get flustered.
A passion for working with and helping other people.
Excellent communication and “people” skills.
Ability to work with all people regardless of their
personality type.
